Boonton Sedation Dentistry
Your comfort and peace of mind are imperative to a pleasant dental experience. If you feel nervous, if you don’t respond well to traditional anesthesia, or if you have a sensitive gag reflex, please let us know. You deserve relaxing, rewarding dental visits, and we offer three levels of sedation dentistry to help. Contact our team to find out more.
- Nitrous Oxide: Used in dentistry for decades, nitrous oxide is an anti-anxiety gas inhaled through the nose. The effects are instantaneous, causing significant relaxation and an inability to sense discomfort. Effects also subside immediately at the stop of administration, so you can drive back to work or home and continue normal daily activities.
- Oral Sedation: For a bit more advanced sedation, the doctor can prescribe an oral anxiolytic. Simply swallow the pill before your visit, and you’ll feel very relaxed and groggy during the appointment. With oral sedation, you’ll need a ride to and from our Boonton Township, NJ dental office, and you should plan to remain at home until the following day.
- Oral + Nitrous: By combining oral sedation with nitrous oxide, we provide an intensely relaxed dental visit. You’ll retain the ability to communicate with our team, but you may remember nothing of the visit the following day. Again, you’ll need a ride to and from the office, and you should plan to stay home until the next morning.
